Support us at Festival Fantastika!

Since 2010, there is the Festival Fantastika in Freistadt. And every year we put a lot of effort, dedication and all our heart and soul into making this festival even better than the last one. And every year, there are people who help us with their work to make this festival possible. If you want, you can be part of it. If you join in, you’ll make a lot of new experiences, get to know great people and look behind the scenes of the festival. Drinks and meals are free of charge for you. To make you stand out from the crowds, you’ll get a T-shirt and a festival hat. And all the helpers are of course invited to the big afterparty. And that alone is already worth the effort 🙂

What do I need to know?

There’s quite a lot to do at a festival like this: in preperation, during the two festival days and afterwards. But of course: the most people are needed during the two festival days.
The worktime is seperated into two shifts with 4 hours each. And some breaks, of course. And if you really get into this fesitval feeling, you can help us the whole day, or – even better – two whole days. It’s an experience you’ll never forget. We promise 🙂

Nice! What can I do?

We have different areas, in which we could need your help.

Preparation and Cleaning-up

On Thursday and Friday morning, we will move into the festival office in the Salzhof. We set up poster stands in the city, set up the infopoint, decorate the stalls and streets, install banners of our supporters in the city, and lay out power cables. We also pick up the first artists from the trainstation and take them to the accommodation.
On Sunday, we pack everything together, clean up at the festival office and clear away posters and banners.

Info Point

Our headquarter in the city center. Here the visitors inquire about the program. In addition, they get festival t-shirts, balloons or they can change euro bills into small money. If you love talking to a lot of people, then this is the place for you.

Festival Office

You speak good English, you are communicative and cool as a cucumber? Then the festival office is the right place for you. Here you can answer questions from the artists and help them find the right contacts when it comes to sound, electricity, accommodation or the like.

Stage supervision

It is important to ensure that the artists have everything they need at their stages or spots, as we call them. You help the artists during the assembly and dismantling and are their contact for electricity and, well, actually everything they need. English skills are useful here.
A very special highlight are the fireshows. As a stage supervisor of a fire show, you also hold the fire extinguisher in your hand and have to use it, if it really gets tricky. But do not worry, this has never happened since the beginning of the festival 🙂

Kitchen

In the kitchen directly in the Salzhof we prepare the food for the artists and the many helpers. If you like to cook and enjoy preparing salads or breads with that little extra, then we are looking forward to your support.

Festival bar

Support our bar team at the drinks service or when clearing the tables and help to ensure that the visitors always get a cool drink.
