Application for Artists

General information – Festival Fantastika 2026

The festival will take place on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th, 2026 in Freistadt.

Application until March 1st, 2026

Until this date you can apply for participating in the festival. We need the filled out application form including info materials like photos, videos, soundfiles, CD, website, etc....

Participation

The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection will be communicated by e-mail by April 15th, 2026, after which we will send you a contract.

Accommodation and catering

The accommodation of the artists on Friday and Saturday will be in hotels and inns in the old-town. Breakfast is included. Artists arriving on Thursday can stay in a youth hostel. Breakfast is also included.

Reimbursement

Travel costs: Travel costs will be reimbursed up to a maximum of EUR 450,- per group. By Car: Only the way to Freistadt will be reimbursed with 0.50 cents per kilometer

Daily allowance: EUR 25,- per person and event day will be paid for meals.

Hat money: The income from the performances remains with the artists.

We will promote the hat money to the best of our ability and of course offer a money exchange facility for the visitors.

KV Charismart does not provide any equipment.

Festival times

Friday from 15:30 - 23:30

Saturday from 15:00 - 24:00 o'clock

Arrival must be made by Friday, 12:30 pm.

There will be 2-3 performances per group/artist per day.

On Saturday there will be a closing party for artists and helpers starting at 11pm.

We are looking forward to your numerous coming to enchant the city.

Be aware that nearly the hole town (performance pitches) is covered with cobblestones.

You got maximum 50 min with construction and dismantling on your pitch.

Important notes:

If you - after you have applied - get another fixed booking, please let us know.

You have to bring your own equipment. The KV-Charismart does not provide any equipment - especially sound systems.

For example for aerial acts with a long set-up time? Then please describe your equipment.

Attention: the surface is cobblestone throughout the city.

1 = quiet, 5 = very loud

Admission or Rejection and Liability

The decision regarding admission or cancellation will be made by April 15th, 2026. KV Charismart and the city of Freistadt assume no liability for property damage or personal injury arising in connection with the activities of the street artists at the Festival Fantastika.

The Festival Fantastika is organized by the cultural association CharismART with the support of the municipality of Freistadt.
